A calm high tide soon after sunset and things start to stir in the estuary! The glass eels migrate all the way from the Sargasso sea (some 3000 miles away taking about 300 days!) to be eaten by a bass. A great site and a glimpse at a rarely witnessed event?

A vixen doing a great job feeding 5 cubs. Managed to get some footage sat by them with two dogs!The first clips are trailcam footage at double speed.

Back when i was fitter-not fit but fitter lol, Lots of great hunts on this day but for some of them i was either too high to low or too far away.I f it was easy it wouldn't be fun! Always enjoy seeing a good fox though.

Isint it funny how 20 beagles take all this time to figure out the trail and beagles are supposed to have top dog marks for scent . And the lurcher is supposed to have no nose ??? Yet we have all seen Andrew,s lurchers going full flight on a fox maybe 5 minutes ahead ??? Someone explain please

We had a fox come of a crop of standing corn and two collies bowled it over but he did not stop to fight, they did this twice and he got away. Collies are not the fastest dog. They could never catch a hare but chased loads, my friend brought a greyhound on to out farm and it caught a hare first try.

@@MrDanybe How's it going, yeah I actually have an account two sources of an Irish fox and British being clocked at 40mph and I believe 42mph, so even though they're smaller in height than a North American red fox, even they yes can hit those speeds.
@@counterstrike89 what i do think is quite funny tho is ive come across someone else who is obsessed with the speed of a fox, when i was younger i was ! I would ask anyone i saw with a lurcher or greyhound if it could catch a fox true story by the way
@@MrDanybe Wow, that's very interesting, I guess we have more in common than previously thought, touche. Btw, I'm going by hunters accounts that spent their life hunting here in North America, they talk about the differences between the British fox and ours. I talked to a coyote hunter also, here in America, he said they witnessed a coyote run 48mph, pretty remarkable.

I'm in the U.S.A. and I hunt. I have now my 3rd WELSHIE and 2 airedales. My dogs are actually police dogs for drug detection but they also serve as search/ rescue and cadaver dogs. My second WELSHIE probably is the only one to search 9/11 world trade center. Aside from traveling with my dogs to disasters all over world, I get to meet great hunters. Here in the U.S. after a disaster we can feed people. We also cull dangerous bears and cougars unfortunately feed by humans making them dangerous. The wild hog problem is devastating here to crops, livestock and wildlife but culling provides food to disaster victims and the needy. Airedales are multi speci hunters but not very vocal. My Welshies load throaty song alerts to a live person or a more demure sound, someone who passed. Airedales crossed with WELSHIE have made some fantastic service dogs for handicapped that still wish to hunt. All three of my Welshies have come from pack lineage over 200 years purebred. I love these great dogs.😊
